Childhood is already loaded with challenges and difficulties. The typical divorce or separation is one complication that many children should never have to face according to recent longitudinal studies. This is not to say that divorce cannot be a good thing. However, divorces that include every-other-weekend parenting can seriously damage a child. Often people may use extreme situations like physical, emotional, or substance abuse as reasons for justifying all typical break-ups. While there are certainly situations that require immediate and perhaps even professional attention, Fight 4 Kids does not recognize all separations and divorces as reasons to arbitrarily separate children from either parent.

Parents should find an informed marriage therapist and when this doesn't work, a 50/50 physical custody is the right direction to take. Each family situation is unique and decisions that affect the safety and stability of a child will sometimes require the assistance of a professional or law enforcement. In general however, Fight 4 Kids recognizes what you should already know: every-other-weekend dads are disturbing and should be outlawed for most situations. Moms and females in general, should not be stuck with the majority of assumed parenting responsibility. It's damaging to a mom's social opportunities and a father's parenting opportunities.

If you are not in a dangerous or abusive situation and you love your children, we believe that there may be solutions available to improve your divorce or in some cases, your marital relationship's ability to recover. When recent studies conclude, they are not showing a positive relationship between Children and Divorce due to legal traditions that promote female oppression and male alienation.
